Well it finally happened!

On Saturday at around 6pm I was on my way home from walmart. I was stoping on a 3 way to turn left when a guy driving a F150 hits me from behind going about 55mph. He verred me off to the opposite lane and got hit from a 2008 nissan frontier 4 door from in front about 45mph. My car spun in a 360 hitting the guard rail about 30 feet from where I was at. I immediately took off my seat belt and got out threw the driver side window since I had both windows rolled down. I was in intense pain from my hips and my lower abdomen since I have a seat belt markings their and around my chest. My airbag did deploy upon impact getting hit from the front. I can't believe that this happened in an instant. Well I can say is that my car is totalled. I can say that I was in the hosptial over night for observation and was released the next day with severe bruising in my hips and seat belt markings. I was very lucky I am alive and manage to get out of the vehicle walking and my recovery is going very well. For now I'm waiting to see how much I'm gonna get for the damages of my car and seeing about getting another ride. This vehicle saved my life from GM's safety BS but what can I say it's their for a reason. Anyways I just wanted to share my story with all of you and never take life for granted because you never know this can happen to you.

Holy Crap, Glad to see you're ok! You should call a lawyer, you'll probably be able to get some extra money from their insurance from pain and suffering since he hit you so hard and you were bruised from the impact.

*sigh* sad to see another SS destroyed :/ GM doesnt make quick little cars like this anymore so its really sad to see one get mangled

Holy ****. Glad you are ok, by the looks of that car. The bastard that hit you should be in jail if he was paying little enough attention to hit someone at full speed

I always steer clear of anyone who has damage from previous accidents. Never know if it was their fault or not. Better safe than sorry

Man that sucks. Glad to hear you're ok though. Something about F-150's hitting our cars lately, as mine was hit from the left by an F-150 Lariat back in July.. Take care of yourself, then go after them for pain/suffering, and a new ride.

Yeah Thank you, I know it sucks and all but I'm grateful to be here. I don't bad mouth about GM safety anymore since Saturday lol. I'm in the works of a lawsuit now. I do know that I want another cobalt ss this time thinking about getting a turbo. But I miss mine already it sucks to see my balt looking like a beer can. The insurance will be taking the car from the impound lot so don't think I'll be scraping any parts off my ride It's a 2.4L

Your right bro, from what I saw in my rear view mirror the guy was distracted on rather his cell phone or something while driving and didn't see me or something. But like I said it can happen to anyone at any time. You'll be surprised what adrenaline can do to you. I manage to unbuckle my seat belt and climp/jump out of the driver side went back inside my car grabbed my cell phone call 911 then my sister before it hit me like a ton of bricks.

No I'm not, maybe that's why it didn't do what I've seen in the commericals lol. Your right my balt is a 2.4L

Lol, true that yeah but anyways it's getting better I found out where my car is located I can pick up personal items but can dismount anything since the insurance is taking it away today. I know it's sad site I was hoping to salvage at least a headlight which I did but the projectors are missing I had Gen 4 depo lights with VLED turn backs for the signals. Anyways all in all, I've decided to go with an ss turbo. So I'll be car searching the next few days

Yeah it was cool that there was an off duty sheriff there right when the accident happened and a off duty R/N they both assisted me at the scene. When you get hit by another vehicle it isn't like the movies at least sound wise. Feels more like one hell of a roll coaster ride with the risk of death involved lol.
