a getrag transmission in my cobalt?
i pick mine up tomorrow, super excited.. only this is that it's an ls.. but heck, it's a cobalt none the less..
what exactly is this "Getrag" they are referring to??

 

That is your transmission. It is manufactured by Getrag, a transmission company.

 

They are also one of the best in the world.

 

i found it funny when i saw that when i was just looking at base models for the hell of it... i made fun of the name... Getrag... seemed like it's begging to get ragged...

 

They are made in Europe. Germany I think. They are the same company that made the transmission in the Toyota Supra.

Type Getrag in google and click "I'm Feeling Lucky" and it will take you to their website. It even knows to put it in English......

 

dammit... again, another day. i get mine in the morning at opening of business.. i'm off tomorrow, so plenty of time to play. debadging tomorrow...

Yeah I'm in a small town also, Buchanan. So damn small if you blink you'll miss it. I head to Roanoke almost every weekend though and it's fairly large and plenty of action to get into if you want. Although you'll have to go through about 50 ricers to see anything worthwhile...
