This is probably the dumbest thing i can do... posting a pic this ugly on CSS net... i am going to get flamed on, **** on, harassed, get called a ******, probably say that someone is jelly and has a small ***** and then shooting myself. but i am going to do it!...

due to recent situations... i am thinking of painting my FMIC white with black Turbo XS logo on it.
now. most of you already know i have white wheels, i have gotten nothing but compliments on them. so far everyone loves them, and many thanks peeps!!

but how well would it go with the white FMIC ?

i used to have a white Evo mod, but that didnt look good once i painted the FMIC the first time around, black with white turbo XS logo on it.

i am thinking maybe it will look good with the white evo mod like i have in my sig ?

ill let you guys decide..

this is what i am talking about... again, i know its a very ugly pic

this is pretty much how it sits now..

i like it the way it sits. i did the same to mine, just have to clearcoat it to keep it from chipping the paint. i vote leave as is. the white will be a bitch to clean and show all the dead bugs you gather up lol. at least u dont see it as bad on the black paint.

I wouldn't do it. I don't even like writing or logos on an intercooler let alone having it painted to stand out.

Leave it how it is, you're going to build up dirt on that thing like crazy.

After the first week it won't be white anymore

i say it looks good as it is. black front mount with white letters. i think the white front mount would just be too much white.....black disapates heat better anyway and that what you want on your front mount. sorry for spelling error.

Yes black does absorb more heat, but it does dissipate the heat faster than white.

You're all getting dangerously close to physics with these discussions!

The truth is that surfaces that best absorb radiation are also the best emitters of radiation - you can look up all the equations and such under the appropriately names "black-body radiation" theory. And for that reason you don't want to paint your IC white - it reduces thermal efficiency. And yeah, collects bugs like a bitch.

And black with white letters - that's def the best look.

Leave it.

The white lettering you have on there looks enough to match the wheels, but not too much. I personally wouldn't paint it any color at all to leave the metal exposed to the air as much as possible. Whether you paint it black or white, it still won't dissipate heat as well as bare aluminum.
