I dunno where some of you get money for so many mods. I have no car payment, yet it's still taking me awhile to build to up just some basic appearance mods, let alone any decent performance things.

I have a new HHR, I pay about $309/mo and my insurance is $80. I'm not complaining.
What do you do for a living? Maybe you're more frugal than many others, which isn't necessarily a bad thing.

I know how you feel. I can't get new parts or make too many changes very often myself. Usually end up saving for awhile to get certain things. Always a work in progress...more to come in the future though of course. "Once the mods start, it's hard to stop, it's worse than most other addictions."

Sadly, I think a buddy of mine has it worse than all of us. He's paying $508/mo for 72mo at 6.5 APR-nothing down. PLUS hes paying $88 insurance. I just found this out. He was talking to me about refinancing it and getting it lower, but extending the payment term out forever and a day.
Its terrible. I couldn't imagine paying 500+ dollars on a car per month unless I was making at least double what I am now. I mean, yes, I can afford it-but don't want to. I would justify $500/mo on my new 1198 though >
Its all about priorities. At first you don't mind, then you realize its just a car and you're boxed in with a high payment. I pay $300/mo now. I'm complacent. Wish I had kept my 95 Riviera and paid $1200 to put a trans in it...
How foolish of me. Now the bank owns my ass for a while. Welcome to the USA.
