Hooked my interceptor back up. The previous owner only ran an interceptor, no stock boost gauge. A few weeks ago I finally got a stock boost gauge after 2 years. I bought a universal single pod off ebay for $14 and redirected all the wires from the A-pillar and had to redo the power input for the interceptor cause the previous guy just hacked the stock boost gauge adapter and used that for the power source. I really like the way it turned out. No bumping or rubbing from the steering wheel. It has a metal mounting bracket that I bent to go with the drop off the back of the steering column. I want to get a wideband an an Omiotek dual bezel hopefully later this year to run with the interceptor.

Thanks. This is the first car I have modded and am trying to do as much as I can myself so everything I do myself is a big victory for me. Even something that may seem as simple as installing a gauge.

Yesterday it got washed and waxed twice. Readjusted the shift knob so the pattern faces the right way. Muffler delete. Meh. Probably put a muffler back on next week. Painted the bowtie up front black. Took a lot of pictures.

Today it got cleaned again, and I replaced a fog light H.I.D. ballast that seemed weak. Wasn't the ballast. Probably going to have to change out the bulb.

I was thinking about doing the latter so that rear seat passengers can get light...
plus at night, or especially dusk, the rear view mirror lights blow chunks.

I think that sunroof switch is a cool idea...

My cylinder head arrived, or so says UPS, to bad I'm at work and I can't open the box like it is christmas morning. This weekend I will be cleaing it up doing a good port and polish job on it, and with the misses approval I will be ordering some goodies. Valves, springs, retainers, and cams.

Dropped the 34-78 YellowTop I had sitting around in since my vent tube broke in 2 places and no longer works. Carpet doesn't sit right now thanks to the positive cover any thoughts on remedying that?

made a list of crap i need fixed for the dealer tomorrow...

-look at sqeaky clutch (my moms cobalts clutch squeaks to, mine is a lot louder)
-clearcoat chipping on passenger side a pillar......
-moisture in both headlights, reverse lights, drivers side tail light.......
-fatty run in the paint on passenger side door...

this was a "gm optimum used vehicle" and was supposed to be inspected for body defects and has never been in an accident. so i dont know whats up with the door. the gm dealership i bought it from assured me there were no accidents on it.

dude! ~ that looks great!!

did you have any issues wit the wiring or what ever getting in the way of the sunroof cover?

Maybe this should be my weekend project!?

EDIT:

Where did you source power from?
Care to enlighten me on how you wired it?

basically I've been told that paint issues are not covered in any way under the warranty...

I'm guessing that unless it was brought up with at hte point of sale, that you're boned in regard to most paint problems...

There's a how to somewhere here, basically I grabbed power from the mirror lights. If you pull the trim ring down around the sunroof you can pull the loom on the drivers side and splice there. Blue is source power, black is constant ground, and grey is door ground. Just pulling that trim piece you can do the entire install. Make sure you only cut the circle out that you need. Tabs do not need to be cut into the roof, I did and now I have a couple holes lol.

I don't like to cut & splice, I would probably (like what I did for the autolights & my RPD) make a plug & play loom...
