Replaced all my header studs/nuts, and did an oil change yesterday. Today, retorque the header nuts, clean the TB and MAF sensor, new air filter and driver's side inner fender liner. Next, LS4 TB and a tune.

Finished tinting my third brake light. Gonna put it back in in a hour or so and check to see if it actually works cause the housing looks brokenish in multiple places.

Installed my BPS shifter, cable clamp, and base bushings, AMAZING! The shifts are rock solid, and smooth. It's like driving a completely different car! Anyone debating getting one, do it!

I've got the shifter and base bushings. I love it.

I think I need to change my roll pins though.

I feel you there. But I'm waiting until spring, cause I'm gonna upgrade the shifter bracket as well.

The BPS was one of the better things I did to my Cobalt, which is amazing to me because the TWM was *THE* worst. Amazing how two different companies making shifters for the same car can be so polar opposite. I wish BPS would make a Corvette shifter. I'd buy one in a heartbeat even though I already do have a short throw. I loved that BPS just that much.

That's crazy. What made the TWM so bad? I've only heard good things besides the price.

The tang for the reverse lockout on the TWM is misplaced. You have to adjust the shifter too far to the right for it to work. Also the ball on the bottom doesn't fit the cable clamp as snugly as on the BPS. Mine popped off twice, even with the snap ring in place. The BPS is just better engineered with more attention to detail and of better quality.

Add the lower quality to the far higher price and they are not worth buying nowadays.
