What Have You Done To Your Cobalt Today?
I love it! One of the few cars with a flat torque curve that makes more power the higher you rev it. Braap
A guy in a lifted Tahoe did a really bad ricer flyby past me in Las Cruces today. Wasn't even accelerating hard and here he comes at full throttle staring at me... Loser.
If it's not that, its some retard on welfare blasting his 200w garbage ass Boss subs at me at a light.
I recently decided I don't care anymore so I blast Japanese death metal back at them. 500w of door/deck speakers gets the point across.

Nice. I have ottp's shifter with solid base bushings and a solid cable clamp. It's pretty damb good. Plus i got the delrin knob that doesn't get cold lol
Well, after swapping hubs and driving for the last week, I was still having an issue with brakes pulsating and feeling a wobble in the steering wheel. It felt like a warped rotor but the rotors I installed were brand new. I thought maybe it was still air in the line but after thinking about it, air in the line would make for a soft, spongy pedal. I decided it had to be a rotor or caliper issue. I tore everything down and found the problem.
Looks like a casting defect in the steel. That wasn't there when I cleaned the rotors prior to installing them. It's a hole in the damn brake surface!! It appears there's another void just below the surface near where the hole is. I can feel a dimple in that other spot. I contacted the company I purchased these from to see what could be done. In the meantime, I went out and bought a different rotor and reassembled everything. Finally, no more brake pulsation! They feel nice and firm and all is well!!

Got new tires mounted, and put summers on.
Went a little wider and fatter. Went 225/45 from 215/40 for a little more comfort, and to fill in the wheel wells a little more since I won't be going lower any time soon.
I don't think I could handle my 100km daily commute if this thing was any less comfortable, and coilovers are out of the budget right now.
Rubs a little if I hit a bump while turning at full lock, but otherwise good so far. Its just the mud flaps. They're coming off soon anyway.
The tires are just cheap Chinese branded tires, but they know it, and are out to be the best of the budget market.

So far I like them more than the falken ziex 912's they replaced, but they only have 15 km's on them so we'll see.
