Everyone mark my words right now. El Paso/Las Cruces is going to have record snowfall and ice this year. All because I bought summer tires in November. Because I have good luck like that.

I wonder if it will be worse than all season tires traction lol but either way i would need new tires in a year or two

TBH any summer tire would work for me. All seasons just break loose so easily. Even at 1/4 throttle. Now the question is should I get some wheels too since my hubcaps/steelies are at their lives end?

Yea exactly. Suitable choices for the lnf are a bit slimmer. I say go for it. Plenty of nice 4 lug wheels out there to choose from for a decent price.

Not the ones I want I may settle for some Kosei K4R 15" with those tires. I'm after lightweight way more than I'm after looks. I can get them shipped to my door with dz102 tires from tirerack for $1000. Discount tire would cost the same for some heavy ass 18lb 15" wheels. K4R are 11lbs each

The day I sold her it had snowed the day before, EmperorJJ's plane landed in a mini blizzard, and it was going to snow again the next day. Here was the scenery when we left DMV and he departed with her.
I couldn't even give her one last proper cleaning

Yes it's plastic, roughly the same thickness as the top side engine covers on the base models.
You drill a hole into the inner shaft to insert a cotter pin into. Then drill a hole up towards the top of the gas strut so that the pressure is relieved. Tom and I did this on his 2.2 with a CF hood in order to use it still. This picture is the best I could find of it. You'll want some sort of lanyard and another spot to clip it, we drilled an extra hole down at the opposite end to place the cotter pin when not in use.

Now I'm contemplating these 17s, which are only 14.5lbs, paired with some General Altimax RT43. Would still shave 3-5lbs off each corner.

See, the thing is that camera is due to have a successor named later this year. Once they release that, the one I want will go down in price. So it may be for the best that I wait and get wheels/tires first. Whether I get summer tires or all-seasons, the weight will be close to or equal the stock setup with the tires I am running now. 36lbs total each. That and a reasonable price are my only requirements. I can't justify $2500 for this ****. $1500 is even a stretch when I know what I could pay. I'm looking at $1080-1180shipped now.
I think my biggest problem is wondering if I should wait for Black Friday to see if they have any specials. Last year there wasn't anything good. But do I risk it?
