No problem.
IIRC we pulled it off the car and used an 1/8" bit to put a hole near the end that mounts to the car. It's a gas shock so there wasn't anything that came out. We used electrical tape to cover the hole but you could seal it up with Quik-Steel or JB Weld since it's no longer pressurized. We then put it back on the car to figure out where we wanted the two holes to be for the cotter pin to sit when in use and storage. We hit the inner rod with a center punch tool to mark the spots and then drilled them off the car. Worked perfectly and didn't get in the way at all.

Bought some parts today. I probably should have bought an EVAP valve thingy but I just can't be bothered with it right now. Next is some wiper blades. These ones SUCK from age. I've realized by now that I'm probably never going to sell this car. It's going to be passed down when I die.

I just used a fine toothed hand saw, I wanted to use a dremel or die grinder but didn't have access to either. Ya it doesn't look to bad up close. The plastic was black underneath but it should look factory after I file/sand and possibly touch up if I can find warm place to do it. I'd plastidip them but black on silver is over done and it's only 40 degrees outside lol
+1 on the clear coat suggestion. I am gonna see if my work will let me clear them in the tool room on lunch break.
EDIT: here's a close up of one of them. It doesn't look the best atm but I haven't got to file or sand yet.

Washed it today.
Bought more fuses to have as spares just in case.
Was going to do the same with headlight bulbs but forgot.
Put on new wipers.
And my new parts should be here Tuesday so I can install them Wednesday.

Took my resonator off to send back to zzp for warranty.
It is ear bleeding loud, sounds horrible.. lol
Not recommended, does make some nice pops and crackles on decal though.

I had to drive with an open header when my zzp downpipe fell apart at the welds. It sucked and everyone wanted to race
