What Have You Done To Your Cobalt Today?
Today's project (taking advantage of the +10C weather), I repaired the wiring on the passenger HID foglight as well as checked all the clamps for tightness on my charge pipes and intake. Oil change yesterday rounded out the routine maintenance this week.
Its good to get under teh hood, only to realize how dirty the engine bay can get on the highway with all the sloppy weather this last month. Soon, it will be time to spray down the engine bay and degrease the **** outta it.

Had a litle free time at work, so I pulled my car in and installed my zzp dual pod pillar and my AEM Uego. I acquired a new blower motor which I will be putting in soon to get rid of that stuipd chirp from the one in my car now.
Today I installed the Jensen NAV104 Nav system! I removed my XM antenna, and used the opening to run the GPS antenna line through. I put a gromet to help fill in the hole, and then used some black RTV to fill it in the rest of the way. The GPS Antenna is a magnetic mount antenna so I have it stuck to the top just forward of the hole. The antenna line runds down the right side next to the airbag in the back into the trunk. I made sure that the antenna line does not obstruct operation of the airbag. I didnt even know we had one back there.
I ran the Databus cable, from my Jensen multimedia reciever, down past by BCM and under the center pedistal plastic. Then behind where the parking brake is, I ran it under the carpet and under the backseat into the trunk. This required the removal of the rear seats. Wich ended up being pretty easy. I had a friend help so that made it eayser.
The RTV on the roof looks like crap, but I want to wait till it cures before I try to touch it up. The whole despite having a rubber groment in it is still quite large around the antenna line.
The GPS reciever unit is in my trunk. I intend on getting some velcro and slapping it to the top part of the forward part of the trunk on that metal peice just behind the rear seats.
I gave it a test, and took it for a test drive. Everything worked out, except that it doesn't know where LaBamba's Mexican Restraunt is in Enterprise Alabama. That can be taken care of with a GPS Update wich I am about to accomplish and customer feedback to let the people who update it know that the location is incorrect.
