what is seafoaming?
its a strong chemical compound that is supposed to loosen up a lot of the carbon deposits that get stuck in your engine (on valves, piston surfaces, etc). Basically, its a cmehical cleaner or your engines insides

ive seen videos on youtube of seafoaming and the one i saw the smoke white. doesnt oil and build up like burn black? or is that the "seafoam" burning off?
I've seafoamed both my Cobalt and my Sunbird. Both smoked like a bitch. The smoke looks all white but up close you can tell that it's more than just the seafoam itself burning off. It does clean a lot of **** out of the engine as the idle on my Sunbird was much better after I cleaned it out. The only trick is finding the right vacuum line to use to suck the seafoam into the engine.
given that the smoke coming out is light grey, and that normal emmisions are clear, it should be easy to tell stuff is coming out. carbon burns black, oil burns bluish, but most of the smoke is caused by water vapor sticking to the carbon deposits coming out of the tailpipe
Well, I personally only put oil in my crankcase. You may use the seafoam in there, but make sure to change your oil within 100 miles.
If you change your oil every 3,000 like I have since I first got the car with 1 mile on it, that motor should be spotless, no need for seafoam in there. The fuel system gets more benefit out of it.
