what one do u think would be fast the cobalt ss/sc with g85 or 06 eclipse mivec v6?

 

ss/sc... raced a new eclipse At the track and it ran a 14.9

 

Ive only come across 1 of the new v6 eclipses . I was stock at the time and had it by a 1/2 car from a dead stop .

 

My friend has one a new V6 Eclipse. He says give me a month and then we'll go... I want to now damn it!!!

 

Drivers race! Just because someone ran a 14.9 in it does not make the Cobalt faster! I saw a chick run a 15.9 against me. It was pretty obvious she could not drive!

 

the old eclipses w/ the turbo were faster stock,also looked better than the newer ones by my opinion, by the way does any one know how to tighten the accelerator, sometimes i get a lil heavy on the gas and dont even know it i just have always liked a firm pedal if u know let me know

 

i always thought they were faster.

 

yea i was j/w because there is a kid who wants to race me 1/8th at our track lol so imma have fun

 

Theres a dude who has one around here. Clean as hell. I don't know if his paintjob came stock, but it is orange and black. Mainly orange but it looks really nice. Hopefully he doesn't have something I don't know about under the hood.

 

hmm, new eclipse, ugly, and slow because they are a frickin tank....

 

the Eclipse has 268hp and it's slower than the Balt? huh?

and if you race a STOCK V6 eclipse, with a bunch of tuning and goodies on your car...and only win by 1/2 a length...I would say the Eclispe is faster Stock to Stock...

 

please dont ressurrect dead threads... how do you people find them? and the eclipsed weighs alot more, and what kind of TQ? its not just HP vs HP its TQ too...

SS/SC has the power-to-weight advantage, so yes, stock for stock with equal drivers it should be a touch faster than the GT IF the GT is a manual. If it's an auto, then the SC gains a much larger advantage both because of gearing and because of the extra 66lbs.

Eclipse weighs 3,600 lbs, i beat one in my SS/SC when i had a couple small things done and i beat it pretty bad everytime.

 

I think they are about the same. That is just my two cents though. I drove both when I bought the Cobalt. The eclipse did take off a little quicker in my opinion.
