what will I need
Im tired of the headunit in my car not working right sooo, Im going aftermarket,
I dont care about the steering wheel controls soo I dont want them hooked up and that adapter thing in like $100 and I dont care at all about the steering wheel controls and I have an idea for something in that spot anyway soo. . . I just want the headunit in and working
I have an 07 ss/sc and heard that I will loose the dings like the seatbelt chime and all that good stuff. I thought all that was in the gauge cluster and has nothing to do with the headunit, also will the cruise control still work, it should due too I dont think that has anything to do with the headunit.
what Im asking is what will I need to keep the chimes, cruise control, DIC selection pretty much everything except the steering wheel controls?
anything important I should know?

Would you like to give me you 07 stock headunit. Ill pay a resonable price if its not dinged or scatched up.

If the DIC is in the dash it is not affected by the radio. I have swapped in an aftermarket unit in my '05 and have had someone install the same way in an '06, but I'm not sure if it will work with the '07.
