What would you do....

I have the chance to pick up a 2006 salesperson demo laser blue SS/SC with the recaro package for about $26k(plus tax admin) CND$ but the car has 10,000km on it and the warrenty wont be rolled back. However i can get a warrenty for up to 100km for about $800 which is the dealer cost.

OR would you get a new 2006 or 2007 for list price for the same car with 0km

Tell me what you would do?

10,000kms of the salesperson beating on it. I would play hard ball and get them to drop it more. Tell them either lower the price, because your serious about buying, or will go shopping somewhere else. When he says no head for the door. Even if you make it off the lot they will phone you. As for the extra 800 for more warranty, read what you actually get covered first, because it is not as much as you think (I made that mistake)

Don't go for it man... If you think about it, that's a lot for a car that already has 10,000 km's on it and warrentee won't be rolled back... I say get a new one (almost same price) and you'll be happy with 0 km's on it, brand new so YOU can break into it, and full warrentee!!

You can deffinetly find a better deal then that. I payed about 26k for mine and it only have 800km on it when I picked it up. 10,000k of salesperson after salesperson beating on the car. Trust me, I've seen the way they drive those things... they really beat them to hell......

What i would do is go to a diff dealer, tell em uve got a cobalt with 10,000km's and ask what the trade in value on that is...yeah dealers dont give **** but it would give u a good range on what they should be selling it to you for..couldnt hurt anyway

I'd go for new '07. I heard the brand new still-on-the-lot '06 SS S/C that I looked at a few weeks ago is already having problems (sunroof broke), and it hasnt even been sold yet!

I would pay the extra $4-5K for a new one. You don't know what has gone on with that car. If it was only $20,000 then I would maybe say go for the demo.

I am leaning more towards a new one. I figure as a few of you said who knows what the car has been through and for an extra $2k or so why not. Just would be nice if GM had a better interest rate than 2.9% on 60 months.

I am aiming by late July to Mid August.

Thanx again for your opions.
