Whats in the future

Whats down the road for all of us ? Will we see the fame of the smallblock chevy 350.LT1,LS1,LS2, Will GM Performance Parts start throwing out more goodies for our rides and if they are how soon will we see them. Then theres the ? of our drive train how much will our littel tranny really take? Will the aftermarket parts people be jumping on board helping us get everthing we would want and like to see and enjoy like all the FBODY folks have for years?Would be nice to see someone like Scoggin Dickey Part Center jump on board and give all of us some loveing. The street is neat but the track is where its at. Everyone can go to the dragstrip and have a rocking good time with events and such.Would love to see some road track events for everyone open up and speedway type events or is that even possible?Without costing a arm and leg to get in on it. Just wanted to pop in and tune up abit here and maybe get somethings rolling for all of us on here.

i personally don't think the LSj will be as popular as the small blocks, not for a while anyways. the ss/sc is new and hasn't earned enough street cred yet.. if they ever do

I think the 2.0L will fall to the wayside and be forgotten about. I don't even see them mention it in the new ad's for the Cobalt, seems they stop talking at the 2.4 SS. The ecotec may live a long life and be GM's "new" small block, but the 2.0L maybe just a fast foot note in history like the ZL-1, not saying that it will be valuable as a collector's item though. From what I have seen just on this site the SS/SC is really just out of reach for it's target market to own, maintain, and tune. It's already in a fairly high state of tune and to take it farther is very pricey for the people that the car is really aimed at.

IMO it looks like the LE5 is GM's engine of the future, but who knows what might happen when the 2.0 Turbo comes out on the Solstice GXP.

i see the 2.0l turbo. Why you think GM decided to go with it then the lsj in the GXP? And GM's not gonna design two turbo 4 bangers. The GXP's is much more advanced then the lsj's.
