Where to put coolant

I noticed on our cars, and before you think im an idiot, for not knowing where coolant goes, i know theres the certain reservoir, up by the left hand strut, but whats the coolant tank and tubes for that runs into the supercharger, and it has a fill cap, so do i need to put coolant in there as well? im getting ready to install the radiator and all the coolant and was just curious where all goes, and is it still 50/50 into the supercharger as well? thank you

You can use that little fill neck iirc, it's all one cooling system.

Well you have the coolant tank (looking at the engine bay) on the top right side of the engine bay. That is your engine coolant tank, there is a small tank in the front basically mounted to the core support, that is your coolant for the heat exchanger.

If that didn't answer your questions... sorry you need to be more clear on what you are doing.

and yes the 50/50 mix Dex-Cool is what you need! Or for the heat exchanger you can use a mixture of more water than antifreeze too, get some better cooling effects that way!

yep what he said, just make sure you dont put coolent in your blinker fluid. If that happens, your going to have issues then

If these are the questions you have to ask then i suggest you a) do some more research. b) get help from some one that knows what they are doing.

Are you installing a new heat exchanger or adding another one?

cheers

This is why cars come with owners manuals.

nope
they are separate.

you dont want 180* engine coolant flowing through your supercharger cooling system.
that would HEAT the air not cool it lol.

you have to monitor the level of each system separately.

Ok. Just asking cause it really does not sound like he knows what he is doing. Just trying to look out for a fellow member.

cheers

That's what I'm saying. in the OP he is talking about 2 separate systems but does not clearly state which one he is replacing.

hmmm...

I'd like to know too, is he actually replacing the radiator? If so why is it being replaced? Or, is he adding or replacing the H/E? As far as coolant - yes there are 2 seperate cooling systems. The coolant tank by the driver side strut tower is the engine coolant reservoir and the fill cap at the front of the car by the SC is the H/E / Intercooler coolant fill.
