who makes this

i have an 07 ss/sc and i wanted to know if any company makes a CAI with the short ram like u can take it off when it rains or something like taking off an extra tube and having it a short ram? and i just wanted to know what the redline is on the 05-06's cuz mine is 6500

Ok redline on the 07's are the same 6500 RPM, and they don't make a short ram for the SC's. The intakes on the SC's are fine where they are you would have to put the car into a puddle about 6" deep to get water into the intake.

my buddy made a short-ram for his SC. its custom tho and it involves moving the coolant tank i believe.

No one, to my knowledge, makes a SRI for the SS/SC.

With the CAI, as well as the stock set up, the filter sits in the bumper.
It would not be possible to quickly switch between an SRI/CAI set up, even if one DID exist.

SRI arent as great for the SS/SC since the blower gets so warm, it would put off a lot of that heat into the intake and IAT's wouldnt be very low.

^^^ Agreed.

Just dont drive through water deep enough to submerge the filter (or your bumper) and you will have nothing to worry about.

If you are still worried, get a bypass valve.

thanks guys for the info.. so i think when i hit 2000 miles on it ( only have about 600) i will buy k&n or injen
