Ive seen so many people talk bad about the cobalt! its amazing! more then a civic! Ive seen people chose hondas over the cobalt and mustang and camaro owners calling it a waste and a cavalier, These people are so negative and i dont get it, its a ******* car! People say its slow for a stock car and its a waste, and I always say its a tuner car. its another option instead of a honda or celica and they always say its domestic rice and that the engine wont last cause its a chevy. I dont know if these people are joking or just plain STUPID I mean sure there arent many performance mods out yet, (correct me if Im wrong DONT FLAMe) you got your choices of intakes exhaust, head's, and pully's and injectors, pistons and etc. But people calling it a waste and a cavabolt isnt right, In my opionion its a steal to buy this car, with so many options and it being somewhat DOMESTIC, I cant see whats wrong with it, I even got doubts about buying it! Ive seen them walk mustangs,camaros and gtos, and the occa. sti and evo, and beat the pants of civics and those little 4 banger and they all say "you need that supercharger to be that fast" and all I reply with is "you need those extra 4 Cylinders" But why do people look down on it so much its amazing!?!

 

...and you are giving them attention they desperately crave. Much like how a 12 year old boy who just hit puberty craves boobies.


Bad comparison? Perhaps.


But who cares what they think. There will always be haters. There will always be fans. In the end, thats why there are so many makes and models to choose from.

 

I believe you get this with ANY car you come across. And seeing as the Cobalt is a new model and replaces the Cavalier its easy for people to talk smack. Especially when 90% of cavaliers people see are junk now and looked at as cheaply made.

i honestly think it all starts from the cobalt community... if were all negative to other owners and flame every little detail of what they say that attitude carries towards other car forums/ owners.....

People tend to hate what they don't understand, like how the hell Chevy pulled this one out of their ass. Im still trying to figure that one out!

 

Pulled what out of their ass? A car with a great motor and a terrible drive train? People just hate to hate, they don't need a particular reason. Making threads crying about it definitely does more harm than good.

 

An economy car that actually has ***** to it with decent styling inside and out. I don't know about you guys but I never paid attention to any chevy's unless they were corvettes or pre 1972.

 

I don't have that big of a problem with haters that know what they are hating on. Its the ignorant haters that **** me off. If you are going to talk ****, at least know something about what you are talking **** about, give a legit reason, something!

 

motors wont last because they are built by chevy if im not mistaken many people look to put chevy motors in their cars, built ford tough with chevy stuff??? any one ever hear that?

 

yea, I was lookin at an import before i bought my balt'. funny thing is, i just happened to be driving by a chevy dealership and the cobalt caught my eye, next thing i know, i'm driving it home

 

Know why they say that??
Because they own Rice and are UPSET that chevy made a tuner that is better than Honda SI in performance AND HAVE BEEN SELLING JUST AS WELL if not better and its made it

 

your gunna get crap from any type of car, buy a z06 vette and u'll have people bash you cuz you spend 70+ grand on a car the bashing isnt gunna stop for any car
