Okay, so I have an 06 SS/SC, and my rear brakes are making really awkward grinding noises, and it's only getting worse. Anytime i'm going under 20MPH you can hear a grinding noise, and any time im under 20 and hit the brakes its an unbearable noise. Do I just need rear brake pads or is it something more?

Brake pads and if you don't hurry up, rotors also.

I just did all four of mine cause the front ones where bad but I figured If your gonna do 1, might as well do four.

No way to tell for sure unless you check yourself. Just reach through the real wheels and you can at least check your outer pads. Inner ones are a little harder. Also feel for roughness on the rotor.

What they said. Check the pads to see if they need replacement. Otherwise you will need to buy new pads and rotors.

If your grinding its too late to just slap pads on you NEED to either get your rotors turned or just get brand new rotors and put them on.
