will not start
will not start
I drove around this morning to drop off the bills and went back home to pick up my wife. I left the car running in the driveway while waiting for her. After she got in we made it a block from the house started to take off from a stop sign and the car died in the middle of an intersection. I had my wife get in the driver’s seat and I pushed it out of the way. I then pushed the car home and will look at it later. It turns over but will not start. I talked to my dad and a friend. My dad says it may be a fuse and my friend says maybe a fuel pump.
Then to top it off once I got to work I went to head out on a service call and while driving the company vehicle I noticed an odd noise, bad odor, and then white smoke. I drove back to the office and found that the strut broke and the spring was dragging on the tire and melted a one inch wide part of the tread down to the ware bars.

I have an 06 ss/sc can smell a bit of gas odor at the tailpipe pulled the coils and plugs. The spark plugs are dry the ceramic is clean. Fuses look good. Any ideas or should I call a mechanic?
get a hold of a test light and test all the fuses with the ignition key ON, they should all have power.. check the 15a under the fuel pump relay and make sur eit has power.. you dont have to take the fuses out to check them.. just touch the bare metal on top of the fuses.
Ok I have tested the fuses and I tested the fuel relay and found that it is working and I can hear the fuel pump prime the line. When I try to start once the starter stops spinning the tachometer does go up a little but still will not fire off.
I finally gave up and towed it to Chevy. After diagnosis they decided that there was a problem with the wiring harness. What they found was the power wire to the coils had broke in two. They repaired that and did the power steering recall while it was in. Woot I have my car back.
