wing removal

quik question for my cobalt peeps !!!!!!!:>)
how much of a difference would it be if i were to remove the wing on my ss/sc, in aerodynamics? would there be a loss in top speed ? or just drag, wind resistance? i know for a fact that spoilers become functional after 80 mph, but i never reach that in the streets and im only on freeway for only 1-3 miles at a time . also i haven't gone out to the races to notice the difference between wing and wingless races to see if there is a change in car performance.

DO NOT TAKE IT OFF! The lack of downforce will cause your car to lift of the ground like an airplane, you'll never get back to the ground!!! If you do it i hope you have a pilot's liscence!

In all seriousness though it wont do a thing, and it will look better and give you better visibility. Do it.

It doesnt add any "downforce" and is there for looks only ... err i mean rear view mirror obsruction only.

Here is a test, if the wing truly is putting downforce on your car, go around back and push down on your spoiler with 50lbs, check how much deflection you get. Now find some way to measure the deflection when you are going down the freeway.. This will give you an indication of total downforce..
