Winter setup: Mudflaps, FE1's + boosters, what color pdip winter wheels?

I work for a subaru dealership and my bosses said "raise your piece of **** cobalt" basically, they will give me no leniency this winter. Last year we got 3-4 inches of snow twice a week. Im lowered on B&G's and the winter will SUCK!

So, back to FE1's, this time im going to use some 1" spring boosters to sit even higher, and im looking to get some rally armor style mudflaps.

Also looking to plastidip my winter wheels in a crazy color. Opinions? I realize they might be negative but i dont care, i need the ground clearance this winter and kind of want the WRX rally look, granted its a cobalt so it might not be the same its fine.

Anyone used aftermarket mudflaps before?

Plasti dip gold.

I guess a Subaru dealer wouldn't be too tolerant of you not making it to work because of the weather lol.
Sounds like your boss wants you to buy in.

On FE1 suspension last winter I made it through 7' of snow one night, I expected to get stuck but actually didn't. I'm lowered on YYZ's now so not as much as low as you but I don't think you need to go higher than FE1. On a side note if you want both low and high why not go with coilovers?

Dude mudflaps aren't going to make a damn difference. Raising it might make you less of a damn plow but in heavy snow it's not going to matter. Just use some winter tires and call it a day. Unless you wanna go for this look

Mud flaps are literally only going to stop **** from flying up on the side of your car. If anything, snow and ice will form between that and the wheel and make it worse... happened to me last winter.

A 1" addition to the already stock height of a base model won't do anything except make you look ******* retarded.

If it snows that much onto the road where your stock height is limiting your driving, no one is going to a dealership to buy a car...

thats what you would think, we sold 2 cars one day last year in the middle of blizzard it always happens.

I want the car to look super high with mud flaps literally for looks. Now my question is what can i use for spring boosters/helpers? Is there something i can put under the springs rather than the rubber booster that go in between the springs from autozone?

Raising the car isn't going to do ****. It's all about the tires.

^Thats completely incorrect. I have great tires and need all the ground clearance i can get. Not that it matters for what im asking. I just want to raise the car another inch or so over fe1, i could care less if it does anything its just what I want.

Cut a piece of wood into a circle and use that as a spacer. That's about a good idea as raising the car. You realize how unsafe to drive with ANY kind of spacer in the car like that would be?

Just don't do it?

Put on the stock suspension and get Blizzak tires... get to work fine.

Put on stock suspension, raise it even more with autozone parts, put mud flaps on it and paint your wheels blaze yellow... get to work, maybe (if the autozone **** doesn't break), and look like a complete ass hat.

Your choice... but remember, I warned you.

If you've done that before for real you wouldn't have made this thread asking how to do it.

Just plow the snow with your lip lol and whoever mentioned coilovers, that's a waste. You don't want to blow a grand on something the salt is going to eat away at.

Yes, it will. You also wont run the risk of your suspension completely falling apart.

get some ralley armour mudflaps, they are like 20$ for the universal kit. i had them on my SS for one winter and they were the ****. i had some nobby ass winter tires on it with color matched IRL wheels. i got some pretty good looks. some fools asked me if it was AWD lol

i drove my balt 1 winter with the mudflaps and winter tires on it. stock suspension and i hammered through the snow. even when i had my old LS cobalt,i made it through 6-10 inches of snow.

Doesn't matter how high you are, if the snows deep enough, the rear trailing arm will still plow it and could cause drag, had good winter tires last year on air ride, and couple days last year didn't matter if I was aired up 2"over stock height or dropped low, still got stuck everywhere I went those couple days
(Parking lots that weren't plowed yet)
