The best for the 2.2 guys. Jason whitefeilds cobalt was featured in this months HCI mag(everyone should get for the poster) about how it is the worlds fastest street legal fwd ever. The article describes how the ecotec engine line is the strongest in the world. Everyone should also read the gmturnersource article. i had posted about his car when it when it was stil flat black now as they put its sleek and unique. Just to clarify, the superchargers listed are for the J-body applications of the 2.2 ecotec and the 2.4 twin cam.

Freaking awesome! I want this guy to pull off fastest Front wheel drive four banger, just so we can run it it everyone's faces that say the balts suck. I'm a little happy that this is a 2.2l, I've been saying from day one on here that the base models are just as good as the to SS's. They've been underrated this whole time
Now the 2.4l needs some love. Somebody go find a turbocharger kit for it!

 

as far as i know the 3-4 grand prixs that are 9 second cars are street legal as well

 

well HCI claims it to be .......... also do the grand-prix have 1000+ horsepower
not sure but i thought a grand-prix was v-6

yes, yes it is a v6. its a FWD v6..... very good. and i dont see where it has 1000+ HP. i dont see that anywhere. if it did it would be running a lot better than 9 and a half seconds weighing only like 2200 lbs...

This is a repost. The car is a 2.0L platform built straight outta the 1000hp GM Build Book. It is in a LS cobalt though. And it is the fastest recorded Street Legal FWD car.

 

if its only running 10's like the interview says..... its not

 

The car has since went mid 9's .

 

And I know of a HB and coupe that have touched 8s that are just as "street legal" as him.
