well, you would sound like a WRX for starters...
Im thinking you have MAF issues though. Running with no MAF causes hardcore misfires at higher RPMs

Well... your car still makes noise...

does that noise sound like a WRX?

If not... then you didnt do anything bad.

just because the MAF is there doesnt mean its working correctly.
it doesnt hurt to check it. ideally, if you have a friend with a cobalt too, swap MAFs and see if the issue is still there

First off, it's WRX SOUND, not mod. It just means that you are missing, replace your spark plugs and pray that it goes away.

Yes it is, wrx's sound terrible. It sounds like the car is missing like crazy. It's the worst sound in the world for every other type of car out there cause it means yo **** is FUCKED UP.

I don't know your exact problem, but you could use a full downpipe with a turn-down.

I wonder what a turbo cobalt would sound like with unequal headers like a WRX. granted its not a flat 4.

im still not totally sure on why exactly subaru did that.

i would imagine its cheaper to manufacture that way. sounding unique would be an added bonus for them too.
