WTF... Dealership probs...

WTF... Dealership probs...

ok... heres the story... the clutch of my 06 SS/SC burnt out after 4500 mi... i brought my car there on 7/17/06 and they still have it... the service manager there said that he is going to upgrade my clutch 4 free but they are waiting for the pressuse plate... he also told me that the transmission was a porsche... ive never heard of that before... any help with what kind of trans it is would be helpfull...

to be honest bro, if you thrashed it hard enough to burn a clutch at 4500 miles and they are warrunteeing it at all you should be happy.

but to upgrade your clutch for free as well?


sounds like a pretty slick deal to me.

I hate taking my car to the dealership cuz they jerk around too much. But if its under warranty then its alright as long as its done in a decent amount of time. Dont know about a Porsche but a SAAB haha. Oh well some people in at dealerships dont always know it all.....but they should.

im not complaining that they have it... i was just wondering if he was pullin my leg by tellin me it was a porsche trans... believe me im happy they r upgrading

If the same dealership that told me my transmission was a Porsche also told me they were upgrading my clutch, I would want to see the part first, and watch them install it just to be sure.

sorry i mistook your meaning there.

and yeah the ss/sc has alot of Lotus/Saab engineering in it.


Porshe is a bit of a stretch though lol

I dont think they are going to put an upgraded clutch in your car.
1st Gm dosnt make onr.
2nd they will not pay for one
3rd they will not warrenty thr trans after an upgraded clutch is instaled.


But I might be wrong.
