As for YouTube, the dumbest thing you can do is read the comments there because you're just going to get frustrated. Educated Si owners know their stock cars would lose to a stock SS/SC, and educated Cobalt owners know how much potential those high revving Hondas have with forced induction.

for some reason most of the honda ricer's grow and buy cheap beater honda's in high school and in high school you think that your car is the **** and they grow up and hang around other honda freaks and no one tells or explains that there are faster cars out there then something that says either honda or v-tech on it.

 

no need to be a dick about typing like a human being because there are many people who type the same way i do. if you dont like it dont read it simple as that.

on the other hand i am very well aware of what the capibilities(sp.) are of each of our cars, but i get a kick out of some of the comments

Granted the honda hatchbacks are majorly light, the new si's and acuras and a lot of the honda fanatics know and think in horsepower numbers, not including torque numbers, so when they go at a cobalt like that they think, oh only 205hp stock for the sc or like mine 145hp stock for my 2.2L....they don't stop to consider that we have more stock torque than they do....may not be enough to make a difference in a stock motor...but with a bolt on or two....it makes a big difference. I'd like to see a 100hp 300ftlbs diesel cobalt go against a honda si haha just to watch the smirk drop off his face.

I mean if you had a 400hp si with 250ftlbs of torque racing a 350hp cobalt with 350ftlbs of torque, I think it would be a good race but the cobalt would win...

I didn't say it in an attempt to inform you because I'm sure you know, but that really is the truth of the matter. They probably hate us cause we have so many "why we hate ricers" threads. They also act like GM would be incapable of developing a similar valvetrain system to achieve power at 8,500 RPM. I've said it before, Honda went that way and GM went the road of bigger motors with more torque. I haven't a clue why the two have to hate each other.

Someone will give props for a nice ride, then some tard will come in and say "oh my Si would slaughter this POS American car," or conversely "my Cobalt would pwn this Honda, VTEC is for trashbags".
