Yay...rental Balt
Okay seems I may have struck a nerve with some people here. Perhaps I should reword my opinion. I'm not trying to rag on people if you bought an LS instead of an SS. I'm not stupid, I realize that everybody has different tastes/needs when it comes to cars. For the record, my Cobalt is not supercharged. I didn't want that. The only reason I got my SS is because after looking through what it would cost me for and LS or LT decked out with all the options I wanted, the SS was just a better choice since it already came with everything in one neat little package. The only reason I posted this was to mention how awkward it felt to go from a car with every option to a rental car with nothing, even though it's "technically" the same car. Nevertheless, I'm not trying to poke fun at people because of their choice in vehicles, just that I kinda spoiled myself when I chose the SS over the other ones.
Yeah I had a rental balt with 135 kms on it about a week ago, no power locks/windows but it did have XM radio, it must come with all of the 07's. I wasn't impressed with the power it was putting down but I'm sure its better with a MT. I do have to say it was a nice smooth ride compared to my SS, and the turning radius was pretty nice too.

I think you have a valid point. No need to apologize for an opinion. I had a 4 door LS as a rental car when our Sentra was getting fixed and it was a totally different car then the SS. For me the choice of SS was all about the look of the car (the rims especially compared to the LS) and also the options that the car came with.
Trying to look fast...

I have as stock a Cobalt LS as you can get, I believe. Nothing in it is power at all. The only thing it does have that is even remotely electronic is the odometer and the CD player (but those are also stock!)
I don't know what you're talking about though. My little laser blue baby flies. I was upset when the dealer looked at my bald front tires and said
quote "You been spinning the tires?! *mean look* *hilarious laughter* Just kidding! Hahaha your car doesn't have enough ***** to spin the tires" end quote.
I'm dead serious. The CHEVY DEALER SERVICE TECHNICIAN said that to me. (But hey, I got free tires out of it - I really was spinning the tires lol)

Don't knock the LS just because it's an LS. It still has pep and for 38 MPG it's a steal.

Heres how i see it, since i actually owned an SS/SC for a week. I had power doors put into my LS. During the summer, you get in and my seats arent boiling. I can actually park in a parking lot without having to use reverse and the aftermarket potential is actually quite high. Im putting down more power then a Stage2 SS/SC and i dont have to worry about my ass burning from the leather. I can also make a full 180 degree turn in a street without having to go into reverse. I'd say i got the better end of the deal. Yes i didnt get an MP3 CD player, but my insurance is 70 bux a month full coverage(being 21 and single). I'd say i made out better with my LS then when i had my SS/SC.
no body is actually knocking anyone. just some bsing. like i said i would never say some crap like that and mean it. one because i know its a matter of what you can afford, and once again making fun of someone for not being able to afford what you have is rediculously "assholeish" at best. and two, i actually commend people for having the sense to live with their means. there have been plenty of times when i wasnt smart enough to do it myself. hell i just said because i got the ss/sc i couldnt afford any mods. lol. if after seeing that you still feel like "hey thats messed up talking about an ls" then i am sorry. i dont know how to make it anymore clear i am only being sarcastic
yea, i can spin my tires a little bit... but then traction control kicks in, and even putting it in "L" the car won't rev past 4k if it's in neutral of if the tires are spinning. but i don't even bother trying, there's no point to spinning your tires in a 2.2 and it's silly.
