whatchu talkin bad about C5's, Willis?

 

My tuner is currently finishing up a tune on a Z06/Z07 with a procharger kit on it. Took me for a burn in it. Jizz in my pants.

 

I just like the upgrades between the models on the C6 so much better

 

I do like the C6's, I really really do, but I so loved my pop up headlights.

 

the c5 is nearly an identical platform. the folks on corvetteforum even call it the c5.5. You can easily mod a c5 to be as fast or faster than any c6. The frame is the same, the engine mounting points are the same, the suspension geometry is nearly identical, it even uses the same transmission and differential housing, and the torque tube design is the same. Nearly every c6 part is interchangeable with the c5. The biggest differences are luxury features. That's why most people use a c5 for race cars. The c5 is also lighter, has a lower CG, and also has a lower drag coefficient. The main advantage of the c6 is the shorter wheel base.

 

You know what would look good the EVO mod on that Corvette.
