I checked out the how-to for their short shifter mod, it looks as if it's shortening the throw by simply cutting off the bottom of the shifter at the mounting point. Is there anything else i'm missing? I'm not familiar with clutch/transmission mechanics; any pros or cons to this method if anybody knows?

I'm thinking about going with it in the interim until i pick up a STS

 

Meh after shipping its <$100 more to get a BPS or OTTP.
