ZZP Stage 2 Kit

Just bought my 2006 cobalt SS a month ago and am looking for some advise on the zzp stage two kit. Now this car is my daily driver and I am new to the whole 4 cyl world and don't need a ton more horse but wouldn't mind a little more if it doesn't put my engine at risk of blowing. I have talked to a few guys and have heard things all over the board, if I put the pully and little bigger injectors I need a new pump, and other things of the sort. What is my best bet where I don't have to spend a ton of dough for a few more ponies?

First make sure the coolant pump is working........ It might bring up intake air temps.... Not good

O and the kits are safe ...but it would be better if u get a custom tune... And the more cooling mods, the better regardless of what ppl will tell u saying u don't really need them.

yup. you can safely run this kit (this is what i've had for a year no issues)

2.8" pulley
60# injectors
gm stage 2 belt
multiple pulley system (need it to switch the pulley)
and the heat exchanger (super easy install)
i had their canned tune raise the redline to 7200. not that i go that high but its nice to go a little above 6500 now

if u get it with the heat exhanger this kit is 520 without a new pcm. you would need an extra to send to them or pay an extra 200.

OTT Stage 2 Kit

So it sounds like the cooling mods are a must, so that $250 for the kits turns into a grand pretty quick hugh... I did put a k&n intake on already...

my car is a DD as well:

zzp stage 2 kit
3.0 pulley
50's
shorter belt
dual pass
stage 3 heat exchanger
along with full bolt-ons as well

you should be fine having it as DD, put like they said above get a custom tune for sure.
