I hereby ask that Bill (HAHN) take a partial and non-refundable payment of like $100 or so on these names for each GB thread. Several people have backed out and it's started to rub me the wrong way. Come on guys! Bill is tracking names and counting on these orders once your name is on the "confirmed list". Using your girlfriend or the economy or your paycheck...or the GB cutoff date being too soon as excuses and taking ur name off and/or not being completely committed is bad business. I'm not trying to flame certain people but if we want to continue a good rapport and business relationship with vendors that are treating the CSS.NET buys well....let's not be THAT GUY who ruins things for all parties involved. Anyone else recommend that HAHN take partial payments NOW for orders? If nothing else that would thin or thicken the herd and HAHN could actually give confirmed #'s to date on how many orders per thread we have based on purchase orders/partial payments. $100 is only a fraction of either just buying one item or both so it won't matter if we only get 14 or 35 people for a specific GB. Either way you'll have to pay the $100. Thoughts???

Actually pissed me off quite a bit...and if you can't handle people backing out of a group buy, then just pay the price of it, and not worry about it.

Still offically need 3 more for the best deal. I'm committed and could pay all right now if need be, but I'd prefer it be for 20+ on both for the GB price.

I've updated the original post to reflect the list.

I'd like to thank the members who compiled the list...very thoughtful of you!

I agree that some 'good faith' measure like a deposit will be effective in keeping the list orderly and accurate. I'm confident that with this many players already, we'll have no problem retaining a solid 20 by the end of the GB.

Inevitably, some folks may still need to back out, and I want to express that I understand...these are tough times, and we're all faced with challenges. But if you are looking at this, please don't be hesitant to join. Stuff happens, and I understand. Anyone who's reasonably positive they want this intercooler can join this GB, and if you are either unable to send a deposit now, or have to get out later, I have no problem with that.

That being said, I do wish to reward the VERY willing, and here's what I propose:

I'll start a new 'solid' list of those who commit with a deposit. Those who do not, we'll keep in a second 'tentative' list. As deposits are received, I will move folks from Tentative to Solid. As an incentive to get Tentative folks to commit with deposit, I will cap the group buy at 20 units: if you don't commit, you may get bumped out of the 20 group.

Should demand take us well past 20, we can revamp this as needed.

I'll leave a day for commentary, and if we agree this will work, I'll post up instructions on Tuesday the 11th (tomorrow) for ordering and sending deposits.

so if we fill out this order form and submit 100 dollars for the 550 price, and we end up with less than 20 guys for the IC, which is how it looks now,

then the price goes up, I assume, as in the first post?

And we won't know this til the 28th of this month on just how many guys or how much the IC will ultimately be?
