Another good way they same to aim the projectors is pull your car 25 feet from the garage door. Measure from the ground to the center of your headlights. take that same height and tape it on the garage door. Then subtract 2.5" - 3" and tape that line. Then adjust the light so it cut offs around the 2nd tape mark.

The goal is to get 1% decline supposively, but that blinds people. The 2.5" - 3" rule i read a lot about on HIDplanet and seems to work rather well.

 

what else can i do when i get mine to aim them? i dont have a garage or anything i could shine my lights on.. any ideas?

I thought i had mine adjusted but i have this huge black shadow right in the middle of the road/garage. Which way do i need to go with the adjustments? Sweet how to btw.

 

tough for me to know exactly just from text....
If you can SEE that cutoff line that i talk about in the video actually on the pavement AT ALL, your headlights need to come up.
you should never see your cutoff line on the road, if its not that then i would think maybe that your left light is to far left and/or right light to far right, creating a gap in the beam at the center.

 

sweet, now heres my question for you, for the high beams one of mine is a little tooo high *like aiming up at stopsigns lol* and the other is pointed at the ground, and both arent aligned to the center, what tips do you have for the left to right adjustments for the highbeams?

 

like in the video, i got lucky and my highs were right on for "left/right" allignment
but all i would suggest is what I did to get the info for the video.
trial and error.

Pull your headlight out, give the adjustment bolt a few turns, put it back and see what it did.

 

good job man thnx those things r a pain in the ass but worth the look. But does anyone have suggestion on different bulbs because thse arent much brighter then stock

 

yeah the bulbs that come with it arent that great.
i would definately get some nice aftermarket bulbs if your not gonna HID them.
silverstars are always pretty nice. but pricey.

 

I have silverstars in my stock lights (after not being satisfied with the lack of quality in the halos) and I love them. they're a nice light, much better than OEM bulbs.

 

the halogens that come with the projectors?

 

yeah the ones that come with them are terrible, and the quality of the entire assembly is pretty terrible in my opinion...i had them on my car for 6 months and i hated them. loved the looks, hated the quality and dimness. i couldn't see jack at night. (of course, this was before the HowTos were made) they don't seal well even with silicone. my halos went out, and then my LED's started slipping inside the housing. for fogging, see photos below:

I was actually very pleasantly surprised with the quality of mine when they arrived.
I presealed mine with silicone before the first install and havent seen any fogging yet...
I also found that even the crap bulbs that came with the projectors gave better light than the stock halogens
