Antenna Mod

Remove the factory antenna from the car. Next using a pair of pliers, remove the ball at the end of the antenna. The best way is to slide the pliers on the antenna and hit the ball. Be careful because the ball will fly off. Have someone catch it or do it into a blanket so that you don't lose the ball. Now cut the antenna down to size. I recommend having it match the roof line. One the antenna is cut, grind the end of it allow the ball to fit back on. Use some crazy glue to hold the ball on place. Now using black paint, repaint the antenna and you are done.

Tools Needed:

Cut off wheel/saw
Glue
Paint

Time: 10 min

I will try and post some pics soon.

There is no loss in radio clarity or signal!!

That's certainly an interesting idea.... but why not just shell out $20 for a Shorty antenna?
