i have dual horns....at first something got stuck in my stock horn...so i went out and bought a beefy one...and i ended up unclogging the stock one...so i decided to wire both of them up...so now i have a dual horn setup...sounds alot better than just the single

Is it just as easy as soldering the actuator line and a power? It sounds super easy.

yeah any horn will work and none are that hard to install.... I myself have been rocking an AAHHOOOOOOGAH! horn for about the past 5 years I took it out of my old car when I bought the balt. I just can't handle the little beep beep horns. unless it's in a roadrunner.

I hate to say it but the 06' and newer horns from (the monte and impala) are not plug'n'play, wires have to be spliced together and there two horns not one... a high note and a low note... which one did you go with? $64 for one horn too!!! kinda pricy.....

The whole point of the upgrade is to have the dual horn set up ( ITS DEEPER AND LOUDER) , and it was plug n play in my 07 no prob... there is only one plug on the whole setup, both horns are wired into each other! Try a G6, 04- newer Malibu, 04- newer Grandprix , and even maybe Saturn Aura!

oh it's good to know that the what the whole point is antonio thank you we would have been lost without you. in fact the problem with most people today is that they can not think for them selves and read your comment saying they should have a dual horn not realizing they could just as easilly get a horn that plays dixi or any other rediculouse tune that they feel the need to have as their own just to conform because you said a deeper and louder horn is the way to go. I'm interested in why that is. does a deeper louder horn get more attention. I'm pretty sure if we paired my horn up against your people would notice it more.
the whole point of upgradeing anythign about a car is making it better and for pure cosmetic things such as a horn it's upi to the owner to what they prefer so shut the **** up about how other people should mod their cars even though it may be something as small as the horn and worry about your own car I'm sure you've got more than enough issues to keep you busy with that.

I got a set of horns from a G8 for Christmas (had mentioned it to my parents a long time ago about how wimpy sounding the Cobalt horn was and they got 'em for me--was really surprised).

The horns are still at my parents house otherwise I would just look for myself, but does anyone know if the G8 connector is the same as it would be on an '05 balt? You never know with those silly Australians! :P

Excellent topic. It's funny, about the ONLY thing I don't like on this car is the horn. I actually laughed when I pumped the horn after buying the car. I pulled out of the dealer, railed it up to about 100 getting on the freeway and hit the horn. I laughed!

Not a high priority but I'll eventually be getting a 'BIG' car horn for this thing.
