I personally like tha clean look, however u don't see alot of "SPORT" tags on balts, so maybe center that right above tha lock? I think either would look nice tho.....'specially on a white balt

Turtle Wax bug and tar remover works like a F'n gem to get the residue off!
You are a brave man

I just used goo gone and fishing line lol.

I'm actually debadging the entire car, spray painting everything black and reapplying everything. I own a VR Cobalt and think that would lok pretty good. I've already done the front bowtie and think that it looks great! Any comments?

Goo Gone sucks... anyone think gas is a little too extreme to remove the residue? I've only taken off the driver side emblems and still have glue residue. Goo Gone did not remove it! What is the bar none absolute best thing to remove the glue? BTW, my car has had the emblems on since '05 and we live on a dirt road... put those together and you got some seriously dirty outlining in the car from where the emblems were. Anyone gotta suggestion for the dirt/stain removal? LoL.

If u use gas, use just a lil bit and make sure to wash it off asap or it could eat ur paint. I used Bug and Tar Remover with alot of elbow grease/friction......ALOT.

I've only read about 4 pages of this whole thread, but I've been wanting to paint my emblems, so I'll put a pic up when I actually do it. Hopefully taking the back bowtie off won't be as much trial and error as some of the other people had...

if its harder to get off than that just use the same steps as taking off any other badge

I used Bug and Tar remover as well and it worked quite well for me. I just used a heat gun on low to warm up the letters and Chevy badge...worked fine for me. The bug and tar remover made it come off easy. Didn't take much work.

i went to kmart and bought mine. i think it was like 22 gauge. i may be mistaken but i used the biggest one kmart sold to debadge my sides. and it worked great. also i went to advanced auto and bought some adhesive remover and that loosened up the glue and i used a fingernail to scrape it all off. just take your time so you dont mess anything up. and wash and wax when you finish a section.

i simply used adhesive remover. i wont use gas or a heat gun or any of that. advanced auto parts sells adhesive remover. i sprayed the sticky area and let it sit for a minute and started using my finger to gently scrape off small parts at a time.

do not use a credit card or other hard plastic card fishing string is alot better choice and wont scratch your paint as the card will
especially on a black car
