mine is done and perfect again. i had to compress the piston then twist is to get it going. it was completely locked up on both sides...btw, the universal piston tool does not work!!! i ended up using needle nose pliers

I've had to adjust mine twice since I got the car in October. I have a fairly steep incline in my driveway, and i adjusted it to where 5 clicks holds it towards the bottom, 6 clicks will hold it at the top. But for some reason, after about two months the cable will loosen up slowly. Any thoughts on what's causing this?

I figure it's the nylon threads common to the adjustment nut. I dabbed some locktite infront of it to see if that will stop it from moving. I figure worst case scenario I'll have to destroy the nut to remove it, and spin an all steel nut down to remove the locktite but my guess is that I am not going to be adjusting this thing anymore.

Car was purchased April 2010 new. I use the ebrake daily (every once in a while for "hektik skidz") and just now it topped out the mechanical movement of the handle while barely being able to hold the car on a moderate hill(4% incline, driveway). It has 70k miles and I have replaced the rear pads and rotors once (rotors for that aftermarket black powder coat and personal policy of rotors and pads being installed as pairs... overkill for the rears, I know.)

Exclamation Emergency Brake Replacement

Spent a ton of time searching this site and did not get the answer I needed. Does anyone know where to get a new Ebrake assembly? The button and what ever springs or plastic crap that holds it together is broken. The chevy dealership in my area wants to sell me a new one for $110 + Labor. Sounds like the typical screw the driver scheme to me. Anyway, is there a sturdier after market replacement?
