..and I don't know people like you that would be satisfied with a half-assed job.. I hang around people that take pride in what they do
its bad for any amount of money.. i don't care if you got it done for free.. it still looks bad.. you were on the right track.. you just skipped a bunch of steps and went right to the paint

then you went to the wrong shop man.. lol.. and the price i said.. if you read my post.. was if YOU fill the holes.. basically doing just what you did.. plus a little more.. then just have them paint it.. if you just took them the car and said "fix it!"... yea.. i can see them charging $300.. but thats not what i suggested.

oh i dident see that part. i also said i suck at painting and i did think about sanding filling and painting i just dident feel like it. maybe in the summer when i have some more time. this was also sorta a quick fix with winter coming i cant have holes lol.
and dont assume that about me im honestly a perfectionist, but when it comes to the car somethings just arent worth it to me. id rather pick up a set of pedders for 300 than Properly fill and paint my holes.

I did this about a year ago with quicksteel. It looks terrible but I was really doing it as an experiment to see if the quicksteel would hold up. After a year or heat and extreme cold I was going to make a how to thread. But uhh.... The OPs is way better lol. The quicksteel has been proven to be very effective and wont fall out if put on right.
I agree with not wanting to spend 2-300 for someone to weld and paint it. But then again the clear coat on my car is terrible and I really dont give a **** what it looks like. I'll be at 100kmi by February and my car in now worth HALF of what I owe! YIPEEE!

last time i checked this was a public forum and we are in america, which means we can say whatever we want. stop being cheap and do this the right way. you can live with the wing for a little while longer as opposed to doing this insanely cheap ass mod.

i wasent really refering to you in particular but yea you can say what you want. but i just cant justify spending that much money on something like that.
maybe some people that cant stand the slightest imperfection cant stand my mod but for as far as keeping water out and keeping money in my pocket its great.
not to mention if any one botherd reading i said i blow at painting if your better it will look better. not to complex. better than those fat plugs that some people use that sick out like a sore thumb

With a little more sanding and prep work you could make that $20 job you did look like any $300 job easily. Just takes more prep and finish work, sanding the putty to make it flush with the trunk etc. Should have taped the bottom and applied putty on top with a putty knife..
good starting write up though!
