someone help me understand the mechanics of this. you drill/grind out the rivet. without that rivet it sits out in the modded state or put the bolt in where rivet was and the trunk is stock again. is that correct. and donna you said you did something to stiffen up the trunk in the modded state. what was it again.

i second that. its no wonder people put don't don't touch on their cars. i for one don't touch any car at a car show. just out of sheer respect of the car and the owner.

ok let me see if i can possibly explain this without having to go and manipulate pics with arrows and whatnot. i am horrible at explaining this stuff....much easier to just show people.

in pic one... if you straighten the trunk out more, those two hinges get closer together, and the one arm that is shown with the bolt in it, will actually crisscross under the other...we removed the bolt and then once the arms were crisscrossed, that one arm with the bolt in it will actually be on the other side and we just replaced the bolt back into the original hole and how you cant bend the trunk , it will stay straight out.

that probably made no sense at all.

Which one is the proper rivet? Or is it, "if you see it, you'll know" kind of thing?

Wow, +1 for originality but -10 for it looking pretty gay and being less functional.

I perfer form over function so dont take it offensive.

Thats what mine looks like, and i have a bottle holding it up because, 1 i took out the wrong rivets, and 2 it will tilt down alittle more so to get it straight i had to use this. when im at car shows i will use a spring or something better.
