Thanks!

I purchased my car brand new, and just kept up with cleaning the dirt/grime.

Some diluted Simple Green & a toothbrush should work wonders for ya.

I installed dual endplate and tried to install the option B but the heater hose from the Option B couldn't bend correctly and be installed on the t-shaped connector. So, I decided to remove the option B and just put the sc filler cap. The first start ups went fine but as soon as air pressure inside started to build the coolant started to leak from the intercooler pump! (from the turbine, not the connections to the hoses)

I also have a OTTP heat exchanger which I follow to connect as the ZZP routing of dual endplate with secondary heat exchanger.

I have check my exhaust and I saw very small drops of coolant on the floor.

What should I do? Please help

I will help you out come Monday or Tuesday.

I've been busy this weekend, and have not been on much.

I will look into your problem, and see what we can come up with to help solve the issue

It just sounds like you....

a. didn't tighten the clamp enough
b. need to cut a better piece of hose

You shouldnt have backed away from installing Opt. B, because you couldn't get the hose to bend correctly. I would have sent you close up photos, and explained what to do.

A big THANK-YOU for posting this how to. Although I didn't install a dual pass i was adding an Option B and 2nd HE and the information here was invaluable.

Notes -

- The factory hose clamps are great at what they are intended to do but THEY SUCK to remove especially on the pump and HE. Excpect to spend some time on removing those is you are adding an HE like I did.

- Air in the system; I was dissapointed that my AIT were not down after the installation and I was ready to buy a new pump, however after my normal commute yesterday I needed to refill the Option B tank and have noticed a significant improvement in the base AIT2 and temperature "recevery' after a pull.

Final thoughts - these How To's are invaluable to someone like me who doesn't know the inside of their engine compartment as well as some. I read several of these articles on the HE, Coolant pump, parts needed etc etc before tackling this job and I can't tell people how much it helped. Based on the info I knew exactly what to expect.

Next up Meth Injection.....

Looks great, but what is the secret to getting the option B hose under the crash bar without catching the pulleys? Right now I have it zip tied to the lift point up top.

I do have the Phenolic, so the blower is a bit close to the crash bar. I'm not sure if I'm just missing some sort of hole that makes routing nicer.

I routed mine in the crash bar and out the opening by the oil dipstick. I took a hammer and a chisel and opened up the hole a bit to get the tube through. Although now the tubing rises a bit above the tank. Im not sure if this is ok as I installed stage 2 upgrade at the same time so my pcm is getting tuned...

how much above the tank? the tanks supposed to be the highest point so air can bleed out. if not could get air bubbles trapped in the system.

not by much. Will the pump pressurize the system and pull the coolant through?

Also curious to know how other people with the phenolic spacer routed their tubing?

I figured it out... I had to do it without the blower mounted and used a fuckhuge ziptie (In a new location instead of on the hoist point... hah). Clears the Stage II pulley by about a 1/4" with the phenolic spacer. I also tucked it behind that upper radiator hose. Keeps it out of the way enough.

staged07ss - thanks for the how to, really came in handy yesterday man!

so on that 'elusive 5th bolt' afformentioned in the post. well, yes. turns out its a REAL pita.

well, we had a stroke of genius yesterday and did this: attached end of string on a socket, then tied it around the socket like a yoyo. get the ratchet down to the bolt (if you can even see it lol) and pull the string. hope this helps anyone doing that because without the string we could only turn the bolt 1/16 of a turn at a time.. which sucks because its a long threaded bolt

heres a vid of what i mean

I did mine over the course of 3 weeks when I had the car parked for winter.

I took my time on everything. I wanted a factory quality install.

I'm very happy how it turned out.
