How to install Projector Halos

I just got my projector halos in the mail today so I figured I would do a write up on installing them. First you need to remove these bolts.
03-21-061 - Chevy Cobalt Picture Gallery

Then you need to remove this clip.

I removed it here so it was easier to work with. Next remove the harness from the back of the headlight here.
03-21-063 - Chevy Cobalt Picture Gallery

Next cut the brown and one of the black wires on the small side marker bulbs socket. The take some wire quick connectors and crimp them on the wires you just cut like this.

Then do the same thing to the black and white wires on the halos like this.
03-21-065 - Chevy Cobalt Picture Gallery

Then hook up the wire harness to the halos and install the lights into the headlight assembly like this.
03-21-066 - Chevy Cobalt Picture Gallery

I then tested the halos and saw if they worked or not.
03-21-067 - Chevy Cobalt Picture Gallery

Do the same on the other side and then your done here is a couple of pics of them installed. I will have more later. Hope you like them and the write up.

You can't see the halos very well but in the dark you can see them great. I'll post night pics tomorrow.

I hooked them up to the side marker. It's always on with the daytime running lamps and doesn't flash with the turn signal.

It came with its own lights. I don't know what size they are. They aren't 9007s. I'm gonna try to find out what size they are cause they are replaceable.

do you know how long or how much room the projectors have in them? my HIDs are a little longer then the stock 9007 bulbs and ive heard of people having hard times getting aftermarket HID's to fit in "cheap" projectors...maybe you would know....or can i even use my HIDs with this if it comes with its own bulbs? is there a way to use your own?

I like them. I might buy them if they're HIDable.

I would have rather had the black ones also but they posted the day after I bought mine. Which sucks. The headlights are probobly HIDable but you'll need to know the right bulb size. The 9007s won't fit.

The odds are that both the highbeam and low beam are H7 bulbs.

Also as celicacobalt asked, is the light output better than stock? I doubt it is...

The bulbs are pretty small. And the light output is deff. better than stock. I need to adjust them better but they are great. I love em. Worth every penny.

I was also wonder that and if they came with the connectors that you used when splicing and wire. Also this may have been asked, but i was wondering if the day time running lights are always on like the stock headlights and if those lights on the top blinked with the blinker or if they might be the running lights

No they didn't come with the connectors I used. You can pick them up at radioshack or something like that for like 2 bucks. And the lights on top are the blinkers. Our daytime running lights are our turn signals lit up. Our parking lights are on only at night or low light. The orange reflector has a small bulb behind it. That is our parking lights. When you hook them up hook them to that otherwise your halos will not stay lit up. They will only flash with the turn signal. During the day you leds or halos won't light up unless you turn your parking lights on in the daytime. They did not come with instructions thats why I made a how to. I figured a lot of people will be like WTF when they get them. When it comes to adjusting them, good luck, it took me a while to figure out what to turn and how and don't ask me which ones were what cause I can't remember It took alot of trial and error. And since you can't adjust them in the car, You'll become a master of taking them off you car and putting them on again.
I hope this helps you all. And I found out the bulbs are H1's so you can HID them But it will take two kits for them.
