How-To: Install Reverse HID Kit

How-To: Installing HID Reverse Lights

Comparision: LED VS HID

1: Remove your trunk lids carpet. Simply pull twist and tug on the christmas tree clips. Set the carpet aside.

2. Remove the black plastic caps that cover the back of the tail lights.

3. Remove the OEM plug/bulb and insert the HID Bulb. The base is silicone so carefully push it into the bulb socket until you know its in correctly.

4. Take the harness and plug it into the stock bulb socket.

5. Plug both the bulb and harness into the ballast

6. Test the light by turning the key on and putting it in reverse. If it does not ignite, Turn off and then remove the plug in the stock bulb socket and flip it around and replug it in. Re test.

7. Mount the ballast onto the trunk lid with some double sided tape. Heres how i mounted mine.

8. Repeat and do the other side the exact same way.

9. Replace the trunk lid carpet. I made sure nothing can be seen when the trunk is open.

Now enjoy much needed light when going into reverse!

is it worth it for the quick ignite hids found in flashlights? or standards?

What's the wattage? I tried this with a 35 watt Ballast and I melted the lense after a minute of use on a cold night.

I'm gonna go with these on my next go round, my current are their tri-star, but these are 7 High Powered LED's and are more than double the light output, with no heat outputted through the lense.

These ballasts are 15w and even when they first fire there are 10x brighter. I guess im the only one that puts the car in reverse then puts the seatbelt on then drives so no issues for me!

A minute? Were you doing one of those stuntman drive really fast down a busy crowded street in reverse trying to lose the bad guys things? Or do you just have a very long driveway?

lol that scene was epic....

but anyways... i would like to see a video at night of the rear shot... when it first gets fired up, and how long your kit takes to reach full potential...

because this is just like having a separate high beam HID... it takes a minute to get to full blast so no need for it lol

the LEDs i bought from you look nice. but are soo weak. i can never seen behind me.. lol...
would love to have this as an option... but would like to see a video of how fast it takes to warm up...
