Oh Yeah, I have come back and can't justify $400 dollars for this. If I can justify $400 dollars then it would be worth to pay. No offense Powell, I do understand your business and your time. From what you call that respect and from what I see that's no respect to talking to a customer trying to justify $400 dollars worth of PCV upgrade. Make Sense!
right, I await your results. and the short answer? you cant jsutify that. the seperator alone is 285.00.

I understand you are mad at Powell for the bickering, but don't hurt us because of it.
And if Powell is speaking the truth then it's not like his mark up is that much. He isn't "screweing" anyone here.

Unless you're his personal accountant you can not make statements like this. There is no reason for posts like this in a how to thread, before a mod steps in and locks the thread take it to PMs with accousations/slander/bickering and stop ruining the thread

Understood, In fact all I did was asking questions about Powell's product. But instead he has a nerve to smack talking to me and thinking that I want to steal his ideas. Which I wasn't even trying to and trying to justify worth of $400 dollars for his product. Go look page 5 then you will see why this "how to thread" has led to this point.

yelcal- no offense, but i have the money to pay extra, and i don't think John is making a killing off of us, and if for some strange reason he is, then good for him. He comes up with solution's for us, for cars that haven't been made in years, and i for one don't mind paying more for things if it keeps someone like him looking for and building stuff for us. Isn't everyone who is in business, doing it to make a living? He has always responded to questions i have had, and has even sent me parts to things for free when he has found a better solution to something he has supplied. See how many others will do that. See how many other companies build things like frame connectors, or suspension parts that have lifetime warranties? He does good things for this community, that few others care anything about. Just think about it.

PS if the piston rings are done none of this helps. I recommend an engine health check first ( leak down) just to be sure.... 5th injector may be more help than folks realise...so thats a good move on your part imho
Toyota are now running some DI motors with 8 injectors, 4 DI and 4 port fuel fyi

Very good point: I use both a safety kleen degreaser, hydroflouric acid in solution and brake kleen on the inlet manifold (once off the car lol) . BUT it is ESSENTIAL to remove and then install a NEW PCV valve these suckers are getting stuck on all the carbon floating around I think. They are very robust but when they stay open its awful.

UPDATE:
The car is now at 34.2 thousand miles. I decided to do a check up on the valves. The inlet of the turbo looks brand new and sparkling, so the oil separator must be doing the job. However, I believe my PCV valve in the intake manifold has failed. There is a river of oil at the bottom of the intake manifold and my valves are quickly on their way to being terrible again.

Compared with the end result of my cleaning less than 7 months ago, I am shocked to see how much build up there is.
