Two screws?

There's one bolt, and a pin.

The bolt is under the front of the silencer (the intake)

and the pin is under where the silencer connects to the air box.

Damn sounds cool but I'm a little leary about trying it cuz it seems like the long term effects could do harm to the engine

...long term effects?

What in God's name are you talking about? There's nothing that would harm the engine...it's just louder.

haha I was basically just concerned about running without the resonator for a while if it would get alof of dirt or something sucked through the intake. and have it accumulate over time...

but screw it I might try it anyway.

Which isn't good. I don't really care about the car being louder, the cold air intake takes care of all that, but if I can gain some HP or throttle response without screwing something up then I'm all for that.

I took this out a few months ago. Didn't have to jack the car up or nothin.. turned the wheel all the way to the right, went up under there, felt for the bolts, took em out.. bam. I like how it's louder, but its no substitute for a real intake, which I hope to get one day.

Try using a door panel puller. Pulls right out.

The pin took me a while till I tried that tool.

So in order to take the "Silencer" out you need to not only remove the headlight and the headlight bracket but your Air box, filter, etc ?? or no.

all you need to remove is the headlight and maybe a couple pins holding the bumper in place for some extra play.
