Update: I found that the junk near my house has got in a LOT more 06+ Impalas. Would really like to go. But I'm white and I feel they don't like white guys. Maybe need to bring a friend.

Well, instead of the LEDs I ordered for this project, I just received an open, empty padded envelope. Filing a claim with Ebay and ordering another set today

Disappointed how narrow they are but they're still bright as ****. I've wasted NO time ripping the "cute" little red lens off and soldering wires to the plugins.

Good job soldering wires in those bulb sockets. I use that technique on my tube taillights
So the big question is: do those LED boards fit in the side markers??
I have a funny feeling that the ones I have coming in will be too big...

Holy crap these things are so bright it makes the daylight look like night time. This was taken at 3:30pm with the sun shining almost directly into the trunk.

 

So when are we meeting up again

 

Hopefully soon! I'm taking a nap then cutting apart those side markers. Then it's just waiting for glue to dry.
