So i got this carzy idea in my head today and went ahead n did it.

Needed

10mm socket
I red led strip ( gotnit from autozone for $20)



1. Remove the carpeted backing from trunk
2. Unscrew the 2 10mm bolts from light
3. Remove the light there are 2 clips on the side of it that hold it in just push them in
4. Open up light case there are 2 tabs just push them in
5. Diconnect the lights
6. Take the strip n strip the 2 ends
7. Find a thin piece of wood or plastic and glue
the strip to it
8. Drill 2 holes small enough for zipties to go thru in the chrome piece
9.ziptie the piece of wood or plastic to the chrome piece.
10. Put the housing back together while leaving the wiring outside the housing
11. Put the light back into the trunk
12. Connect or wires and you done!! I will upload pics of mine later

 

Your gonna need to add in a resistor in Parallel if you have cruise control. I had ghost problems with mine till I added a resistor. Think it was 100 Ohms by .25 watt.
