LNF: Installing Bad-Mab Catless downpipe

How to install a Bad-Mab catless dp or any dp really

Minimum tools required
15mm medium to deep socket
knuckle adapter
8"-12" long extension
ratchet or impact gun
7/8 or 22mm wrench (if you prefer a O2 sensor socket)
15mm box end wrench

Extra things to have
Penetrating spray oil (Wd-40, PB's, Liquid Wrench, ect)
Anti-seize
A Lift (makes life way easier)

If your cant see the pictures this how to is useless

First get the car in the air and spray the exhaust studs on the dp with penetrating spray oil

Using a 15mm medium or deep socket, knuckle adapter, ratchet/Impact, and a 8"-12" long extension remove the 4 for nuts from the studs on the turbo side of the dp. Then pull down the turbo side of dp onto the subframe

Drop the dp down and finish unscrewing the O2 sensor. Remove the old exhaust gaskets and install the new gaskets that came with the Bad-Mab dp. Also put a light amount of anti-seize on the exhaust studs threads if you want.

Put a light amount of anti-seize on the O2 sensor threads. Then screw the O2 sensor into the Bad-Mab dp. (I recommend that you install a O2 defouler which is necessary with most catless dp's unless you want a CEL in the near future)

Slide the new dp on the turbo exhaust studs first and then the back studs. Tighten the nuts evenly on all the studs.

Start the car, check for leaks and your done. Enjoy

Yeah I really like what it does for sound of the exhaust.
Also I like how it helps the turbo spool faster and makes the turbo whistle louder. I'm sure you have noticed.
Bad-Mab builds a great down pipe and you cant beat it for the price.

I've heard some clips of the muffler delete and they sound so sick and have been debating on doing it. How loud is it in the interior of the car when doing normal daily driving? I'm worried about it being too loud in the car for my girlfriends baby.

I haven't seen how the Megan racing dp looks but I can say that this dp is show quality out of the box.

Mine had great clearance between the defouler and heat shield. Try pushing the heat shield towards the floor board. I have had to do this on a couple on of new cars from the factory having the similar issues. Hope this helps.

oh and also to kid above^

This CEL wont do anything to your car, it'll just tell you that you dont have a cat nothing big you get more power

because of no back pressure
