I don't think such a lip is necessary for the 2.4... the front lines up nicely with the skirts and rear. To each his own I guess.

that doesnt make it ok for a cobalt . im jk, to each their own but there is a lot of stuff mustang owners do that i would never even think about doing, especially to a cobalt. just me personally, i would never put something from home depot on my car.

This technique has been around for decades, and it will be quietly approved of in most tuner circles.

Those of you shaking your heads and looking confused are the same ones painting your dashboards and drum brakes.

Saw it on a WRX and wanted to see it on a Cobalt. I think it's worth a try for 8 bucks. lol.

Another common lip is also the plastic trim for gardens. The ***** like 4 inches high and like an inch thick. Black with a small lip. Looks just like the 300+ dollar lip you can buy after it's all bolted in and ****..

I think its all in the install..obviously if It's clean and done right like this guys it does look good. And if its half hanging off and waving around while your driving, well then that don't look too good...obviously

I tried this the other day.. It looked good on both ends because I could drill holes and actually hold it up with bolts, but it looked sloppy where the bumper bends because the tape would show if you wanted the rubber to be flush and look sloppy if the tape couldn't be seen because there would be a huge gap. So I decided to say screw it. There was alot of plastic behind my bumper making it impossible to use screws the whole time..

Im usually a big fan of neat little ghetto mods like the airbox mod, or the diamond mesh grille...

but i cant get over the fact that it just looks like weather stripping stuck on the lip.

sorry, not feelin this one.

Does it deflect at highway speeds? I would imagine it would move around quite a bit.
