I plan on getting a 3" press on pulley from zzperformance and the pulley remover tool. i was just wondering if you actually used that tool for the install of your pulley or if you had somebody else do it. if you did it yourself, please let me know how difficult it was to do it with out damaging anything. also any tips/tricks or more details info on the actual removal of the pulley would be great. thanks!

p.s. - nice write up

Well me and buddy with a redline did it, on a scale from 1-10 id give the whole installation an 4 or 5, not that hard at all, only hard to pull that dam stocker off

This mod makes a night and day differance for these cars, the blower screams louder, and boost kicks right to 12ish instantly then builds up until redline

I'm getting conflicting articles regarding wether or not the LSJ is intercooled ?
2 magazines says it is and others don't say at all. Can someone clear this up.
Is it or isn't it ?

I did a pulley swap myself and my best advice is to take your time and don't force anything.

I am going to do some data logging and compare it to stock runs. I have a pre dyno but it's 85 bux for every dyno run so I doubt I will be having it dyno'd anytime soon.

As far as butt dyno the car seems faster to me I have that working with the boost bypass mod that maven clued me into and so far no codes or limp mode.

I am going to get a mechanical boost gauge and hook it up so I can get some real honest readings and not via a MAP sensor which might not even be calibrated to go above 12.5psi.
Yes it does. I have the 3" SCPH and everytime I redline my gauge goes to 15. Nice write up though. Definitely need a puller tool or be close to a machine shop.

Excellent writeup, however I just did mine, and I did not need to do steps 3 or 4. I pulled the blower carefully under the coolant line, and it fit fine. Also, I just pulled the line off of the tb rather than removing the tb, but either way would probably be plenty easy.

I tried rigging up a pulley puller system with some tools at my auto skills center on post..

couldn't get the ****** off.. started bending one of the edges on the pulley and quit before It was damaged too much to not use...

I have to take it somewhere here on the economy in germany.. not sure what to do.. hmn.

I dont know if there are any performance shops in germany, but that would be your best bet. Take the blower off the car and take it in somewhere to get it done, you will need a puller for it or else you will bend the **** out of the rims of the ring.
