JBP Vortex Cold Air Intake
JBP Vortex Cold Air Intake
I picked up a JBP Vortex Cold Air Intake and let me tell you I’m thrilled with it. There was a small issue with down pipe where the MAS went. I drove down from Cambridge to Toronto which is about 100km to get it exchanged.
He took the time install the intake for me.
First time I hammered on it I had a great big smile on my face. I heard how the Injen and the AEM short intake sounds but this one sounds WAY BETTER and performs better as well.
It’s a true 3' pipe which allows for more air flow into the supercharger compared to any of other ones. I am getting about 13 pounds of boost and you feel it!
Plus as an added bonus I dropped my fuel usage as well which will pay for the intake itself since I do A LOT of driving
If you haven’t gotten a CAI yet consider the one from JBP!
Thanks again to JBP!

Ya after I got mine installed properly, I can now safely say I friggin love the thing! I dont like how plain it looks, but hey, looks pretty bad assed at the same time being all black in my engine bay!
The sound and pull is definetly incredible from this thing!
Oh ya.. and Mev is an awesome guy to deal with! I had install issues at first, he told me to try a couple things, if I couldnt get it, to swing by and he would install it for me at no cost. Then I got it installed but the car wouldnt idle. So I called em up again, he understood exactly what I was saying and quickly explained what I was doing wrong. Now it may not seem like a big deal but people tend to explain things in a condescending manner when they know something you dont. Mev was not like this at all, he completely understood what I was doing and made me feel like I wasnt a *******! LoL
Anyways. double thumbs up for a great product and superior service!

Also, does this throw CELs? I've heard yes and no, and I'd ceratinly like to avoid that, lol.
Jsut wondering about that. If I want it dry, what is the replacement filter that you use? I'd like to be able to replace it when I clog it up (as I know I will....darn gravel roads...)

The filter is the Vibrant Performance funnel air type. Click Here.
OK, made an inquiry on the GB page for this CAI. Looks like there are 3 of us here at least. I have another question. Just finished ploughing the streets in Winnipeg, and I was wondering if snow would make it's way to the filter and plug it up, seeing as how it is a little more exposed than stock (my hood would not open as snow had crammed in EVERYwhere). Anyone drive through snow with a CAI routed to the same place as the JBP one? Any issues? Or is "airbox mod" the only option for those of us who drive in winter. (IE: snowstorms from hell)
The filter sits pretty high just below the head light in the fender. Im still waiting for snow but with the splash guard in the fender it protects the area well.
Unless you plan to submerge your car it should be fine.
Im quite happy with mine after 2 months and it still brings a smile to my face when i push the car into the power band.

i think you should buy one and have it shipped COD, to aviod what i went thru with them.
i hope its worth the hassle. too much snow for me to test this week.
second thought, how bout not. my stock tire hits cai mafpipe when turning right at any speed.
