I haven't had a problem doing 80+ for 9+ hours before, we drove to Florida from IL (and back) in the stage 2 Cobalt. Probably the only time we were under 80 was when stopping to eat/get gas and when getting back up to 80. No problems at all. Hope it get fixed for you.

well a little more info will help. What is going on? Symptoms?

But the blower is not going to fail like that under the conditions you stated unless is was a faulty unit from the get-go

Im betting you had low oil in the blower already while driving, then you were driving 9 hours straight with the mods you have doing 80+ and no cooling mods and it siezed up on you.......I have seen it happen on a lightning and an 03 Cobra.

Just saying your car stopped working gives us absolutely nothing when trying to diagnose a problem.. over the internet....

More specific please.

No... Blower is a sealed unit.. it doesnt lose oil...

Want to bet?? You think no cooling mods and 80+mph driving for 9 hours straight wont cause a problem...I have seen Eaton blowers burn off oil from heat causing them to sieze. You are supposed to change the s/c oil in the eatons often especially the M62's which make a crap load of heat. Also the bearings should be changed out as well every certain amount of miles....His blower is shot im betting from heat or the bearings crapped out. If you would like we can discuss the Eaton m62 being a so Called "Sealed Unit"....

at 80 mph or more and cruising, I don't think the blower would be in use (as in no +PSI) no?

A blower can use oil eventhough it is a sealed unit

Blowers are belt driven and are in use as soon as the car starts. You do not see positive boost pressure because of the bypass valve being open when your foot is on the skinny pedal.

Well, it's sealed. As in it doesn't share oil with anything but itself... so what other definition of sealed is there? There is no need to change the bearings and oil "often". Hell, I have a print out from EATON that says it's "recommended" to change the oil at 100k. I only changed mine because I ported it. The blower will not be making "a crap load of heat" unless it is pressurizing the intake mani. So, at cruise, there is no heat production that would be harmful enough to cause damage that severe
